Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop. I love Mid-Century textiles! I discovered a stash of Vintage Barkcloth at an Antique show back in 1996, and the idea for “SylvieBags” was born a few months later. These fabrics have become increasingly rare and after 24 years of creating unique handbags and pillows, I am even more passionate about Mid-Century textile design. I am here to bring you the same excitement I feel when I discover an amazing piece of vintage fabric! I invite you to appreciate the beauty of these textiles, and together we can lessen the impact on the earth by up-cycling existing materials into special accessories.

Each and every bag, pillow and potholder is designed by me, and with the help of three talented seamstresses, my aim is to keep the art of specialized sewing alive and thriving in today’s America.
